Canada Can Do Better: Avoid Complacency and Demand Safe Food

With the XL beef and Cardinal Meats E. coli outbreaks, along with dozens of other food safety snafus, I’ll have plenty of material to draw upon when I talk as part of the Edith Rowles Lecture Series on March 4, 2013 at the University of Saskatchewan.

The chat will be held on March 4 at 7pm in the Neatby-Timlin Theatre (Arts Building, Room 241) at the University of Saskatchewan. Earlier in the day, I’ll be complacencyvisiting with students, friends and colleagues throughout the day.

The Edith Rowles Simpson Lecture Series was established in 1974 to honour Dr. Simpson for her years of service to the families of Saskatchewan through her work at the College of Home Economics and the University of Saskatchewan. For more information on the Edith Rowles Simpson Lecture Series, please contact Heather Dawson, Communications and Alumni Relations Officer, at 966-2502 or heather.dawson@usask.ca.
