The department has confirmed one case of E. coli through lab tests.

Now, officials are trying to find the source.

To prevent an outbreak like this from happening, health officials say to cook meat thoroughly, wash all fruits and vegetables, and keep hands and cooking surfaces clean

The health department says those who become ill should stay away from work or school, drink plenty of liquids and refrain from preparing family meals.
