A local woman who was diagnosed with botulism is suing the manufacturer of a pesto sauce, claiming their product led to her 38-day hospitalization and caused her to lose a scholarship.
Kathryn Napierski consumed VR Green Farms Pine Nut Basil Pesto on July 13, two weeks before health officials warned consumers of the potential botulism contamination of jarred food products from VR Green Farms, according to the lawsuit.
