Celebrity chefs still don’t know food safety; Ramsey edition

The unopened Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill in Las Vegas received a C rating after being inspected by the Southern Nevada Health District.

Eater Vegas reports that a routine inspection of the restaurant, which has yet to open, found 25 demerits against the restaurant, including “spoiled food, food unprotected from potential contamination during storage and by chemicals, improperly washed food contact surfaces and more during the inspection.” To put that in perspective: 40 demerits practically ensures that the SNHD will shut down a restaurant.

However, restaurants can request re-inspections outside of routine visits, and by the very next day, the pub received an A rating.
