Food porn parody: Fifty Shades of Chicken

Amy says I could have a successful and financially rewarding career as a softcore porn novelist, sorta like Harold Robbins, if this professoring thing doesn’t work out, based on my ability to, uh, improvise?

But she was saying that six years before the success of Fifty Shades of Grey revealed the market depth of suburban sexual oppression yearning to be unleashed (I see it every day, in the subways and the supermarkets).

Now, according to Bon Appetit,, anonymous cookbook writer, FL Fowler, has mixed porn and cooking to produce the parody, Fifty Shades of Chicken.

The story follows “a chef and his chicken on an emotional journey very much like the original trilogy. You start with an overbearing cook and a pigheaded chicken but by the end they’re spanking and tying each other up like soul mates. There’s a bit of Christian and Anastasia Steele in every dish.”

According to Bon Appetit, the book includes recipes for  Mustard Spanked Chicken and Dripping Thighs, and that like any good parody, this manages to make fun of both the flabby porn of “Fifty Shades” and the gushing language of “food porn,” with their shared habits of worshiping trussed-up pieces of meat.
