Hacks and posers

A number of groups — universities, websites, whatever — take our stuff and re-circulate it as their own. It’s annoying but in the end, meaningless. They don’t create anything; they talk rather than do.

For me, and the people I work with, it’s more fun to create and evaluate stuff: barfblog.com, donteatpoop.com, and a whole new way of collecting news. We’ve got some research underway that no one else has done. And this year we’ll be introducing our Internet cooking show and completely redoing news distribution.

So support the International Food Safety Network, give large or give small. It’s all on-line at

Don’t be fooled by cheap imitations.

Any problems, just e-mail me, dpowell@ksu.edu.
